Managed to fit a visit in to the allotments this afternoon mainly to collect tools from the shed to clean them up for winter. The site has a communal shed and an open area for barrows etc.

Anyway as I was parking up this bloke stared at me, got out of the car said hello only to be greeted by a rant about me blocking his way with the manure he was moving. I looked about thinking "if he can't get a barrow down there I hope he doesn't drive a car anywhere near me." So, I moved the car and went to get the tools. It was then that I noticed something familiar about the barrow he was using - it was mine.

I told him it was OK but it would have been nice to have been asked first to which he replied "this is Brian's barrow, what are you talking about?" Apparently Brian's barrow has a red wheel. He didn't apologise but put mine back. As I left the site I noticed he had another barrow, this time one with a green wheel!!!

Had a good cleaning and oiling time at home ready for some serious planning for next year.
