Grow Your Own Magazine

This week I have put my Maris Piper potatoes in the shed to chit and bought two very large containers to grow them on the patio. I have also secured a sorce of manure, which in a few weeks when im ready to plant the potatoes i will go and get a couple of buckets full. That should help the tates out a bit. After seeking some advice on tates im going to buy some Charlottes to plant in one of the containers.
The tomatoes i planted last week are starting to show this week and the strawberries...

Hi i'm a total novice to growing anything. But me and my family are going to have a good go at it.
Spent a very enjoyable afternoon in the shed with my 4 year old son today. We potted up our strawberry seedlings along with seeds of tomatoes, chilies and sweet peppers and put them in a propagater on the kitchen windowsill.
We also potted up some Early Nantes 5 Carrots that my son had pick up in B&Q. These were put into a container on the patio.
