And about bloody time too - my outdoor crops were on the point of giving up the ghost !!
So an update - tunnel now has french beans, early cabbage, swiss chard, various lettuce, cukes and runner beans in the bed, calabrese, more lettuce, culinary herbs, sprouts, spinach, winter cabbage, savoy cabbage, red kale, green kale and Black Tuscan Kale plugs as well as approx 6000 baby leeks on the staging. In addition I have 60 hanging baskets with starwbs, which are rapidly ripening - I have to...

here we are at last

here we are at last, what a week,sun ,wind heavy rain,my 2 ponds overflowed,into the garden,and into the wooded area,but by next day all sucked up by my garden,the plants truly loved it.Hope you all liked my first blog,and dont forget,if you can plant it grow it,yours truly GREENGIANT,HOHOHO.

So much to do, so little time! Anyone know the feeling???

Well, i'm sat here at 4pm when i should be out on the allotment making sure i'm ready for the summer. The only problem i have is the rain, rain and more rain! I've got most of the veg on its way already, the early carrots are springing up, the potatoes are growing faster than the current petrol prices! Sprouting broccolli has just been planted out, as its now about as tall as your hand and looking mighty fine if i do say so myself (it was sown in a couple of old mushroom cartons in my cold frame,...

New Allotment, Yippppeeeeeee!!!!

Hi All, This is my first ever post and it's to say Yipppppeeeeeee!!! We have finally managed to get an allotment after been on a waiting list since October last year. It was just a couple of weeks ago we were able to visit the allotment for the first time and choose our plot. As we were first on the list we were able to choose from all available plots. Once choosing the plot (90ft X 30ft) we were told the half plot (90ft X 15ft) next to ours was also available and we were welcome to take that...
