I am pooped........spent all day yesterday removing a 6x8 greenhouse off one plot, moving it onto mine, then puting a base down for it, then screwing it all down. Then started putting glass in but eventually went home cos my arms gave up.
Today, glorious sunshine, revived energy, got up to lottie at 9.30am, started putting rest of glass back in. Gave my old 6x6 greenhouse to an old chap who didnt have one, it took 5 of us to carry intact frame and polycarbonate over 2 fences onto his lottie,...

Lottie: 3 pictures.

First as it came to us on April 1st.
Then after rotavation
Then after I spent a few hours putting weed fabric down.
I need to put a thinner path to the left hand side; then that's the paths all laid out.

I've started with putting shallots in the middle bed. And potatoes will start going in the beds nearest the camera tomorrow.

I daren't ask for any more wooden raised beds to be built so I then bought three link-a-board ones.

The first one is round one of my gooseberry bushes, I've also planted a Rhubarb but that doesn't seem to be thriving very well

The other two are my Strawberry beds.

Then we built the pond ... if you look closely you can just catch a glimpse of our little occupants

...rather than dig up more lawn we had a go at making a raised bed. We grew carrots, lettuce a few parsnips in it last year but we weren't very succesful.

The first raised bed is the one on the right of the picture.

This year we've gone a stage further and built some more. The one on the left for carrots etc. I've filled it with a more sandy mix than the others. You can see my Heath Robinson attempt at a barrier against the dreaded carrot fly. On the opposite...
