Forgot about this blog for a month - whoops!

It's absolutely freezing in suburban south London. I even crossed the border into Surrey today and I couldn't move my hands after a short spell outdoors.

Meanwhile, the greenhouse is kept above 4 degrees, and is filling up with young plants. And so are the windowsills in the house.

Tuesday 25th March

Day off today, extended bank holiday. Yesterday we went to the garden centre determined not to buy any more plants but ended up buying a climbing rose 'Iceberg' to grow up the shed. We got the compost we needed and a trellis for £3 in the sale. Anyway I'm aching now as I've spent the day digging and weeding - I dug a hole for the rose and that's now in. I dug a hole for the other climber (who's name I don't know) - the one we bought last year and neglected in...
