  • looking for allotment north wales

    Hi,
I'm looking for an allotment around the Rhyl area of north wales...I don't mind if its a bit out of the way as I have been on the waiting list for some time for a council one!
Haven't had an allotment before but rather my own "a-pot-ment" as my garden is paved! Would love to be able to grow more and am looking for a project to undertake....looking to involve my mum also as she is very keen!
Any ideas on local sites please let me know!

Hi fayebee, im to looking for an allotment in the Rhyl area, i have been on the waiting list for 3 years myself, having spoken to our councilor, he told me there's a proposed site at the end of Maes Y Gog road, i've been asking for 18 months about it and they keep saying alot of legal issues to sort out, but now they have gone quite about the site. at the moment i volunteer at a project called Rhyl Botantical Enterprises in Rhyl's botanical gardens on wedsdays, they have a very big polytunnel and grow veg and flowers and fruit. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Botan...25947764341968

You could try signing up for Landshare - might be someone in your area who has a garden/plot that they need help with for a share of the produce?
