Free Allotment in Kibworth Leicestershire

Does your rental agreement allow you to sub-let? And how long do you have the rental for? No-one wants to put in a lot of work and then have the field taken back by the owner. Allotments are long term commitments.

i would be interested, as there is currently no allotments provided in kibworth.

Hello Jo Hollings and Nick,

I appreciate that the original post was made back in July, but I wondered if there is still any opportunity to have a small space for an allotment plot, or share/ help out? I live in Kibworth (the Fleckney end) and would love to start growing and sharing organic produce.

I applied to Kibworth Parish Council some time ago for an allotment, and they have a list of about 31 people who have expressed a similar interest, but as yet they do not have any land with which to meet this need. I've applied to other areas, but the waiting lists are extensive and people resident in a given area tend to be prioritised, which is fair enough.

I am currently studying horticulture at Brooksby College and earlier this year I completed a diploma in environmental conservation, which I really enjoyed as we covered hedge laying, tree felling and pond conservation work, amongst other things.
