Just having a little google search I've found a few bits of info. It seems that there arn't that many and one of the councils have recently asked for interest in creating some.

South Ayrshire Council - Allotments East Ayrshire Council: AtoZ Service Details Committee Minutes :: North Ayrshire Council :: North Ayrshire Council of 7 November 2007 & South Ayrshire Council
