Default Looking for allotment in Inverness area

Hi all
Does anyone know of any allotments in or around Inverness?
I've e-mailed the Highlands council to ask about council ones but haven't had a reply yet. Any info or local knowledge would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Debbie

Just had a reply from the council, short and to the point.
"No allotments for general rent" :-(
I've e-mailed a couple of diff departments just in case, but any other ideas or info on finding an allotment would be appreciated.
Till then I'll plan my little garden plot

That's sad hw I haven't seen any allotments int eh Inverness area while I've been passing. Looks like you might have to squeeze what you can into the garden...

Hi Debbie
Highland Council are really pretty poor on the allotment front - I know there are none in Inverness itself, though there are allotments in Nairn and a new site has just been started in Alness - they have about 26 plots - all taken already and with a waiting list to boot. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on the lottie front.
Welcome to the Vine though

Don't give up.
We approached our local got a no.
Then found out about a private site 5 mins walk away, totally tucked away from sight.
Its so much better than we could ever wish for.
Goodluck
