  • What to do with a dozen doors?

I was asked if I wanted some oak panelled doors as they were going begging. Had a look at them and they are solid (not the eggbox type) appear to be oak covered MDF. They are full sized 6 foot 6 inches high, with a small wired glass panel maybe 6 inches by 2 foot (probably a viewing panel on swing doors so that you don't knock anyone over when opening doors!
Anyway..........they are very heavy and I've carted them to my allotment today..................the problem is, I don't know what to make with them?
Probably something chookified like a hut or run springs to mind!

Build a bungalow! Well if you've got the doors, seems silly not to

Urmmm...I'd be tempted to clean them up and sell them- just because the other person couldn't sell them doesn't mean you can't.
Solid oak doors are very expensive- and period ones esp so!!!! ( go and have a nosy at a reclamation yard!!!)

Then buy yourself something for the lottie with the profit!

They're similar to the double doors that were always used in schools, hospitals or offices. My neighbour who dropped them off for someone else who changed there mind says he can get any amount with his tractor and trailor. Ask no questions spose........but first I've got to find a use for them!
Thought about a triangular chook house, but that would probably only use six of them!

I don't want to get kicked off the allotments ( As I've got my position to think about!)

Soooo....... I've been doing a bit of planning and scheming and I think I might go either pentagon, hexagon, octagon or some other 'gon' to be decided yet.

Basically a huge version of this for either a shed or chook house:-

Whats the betting Lynda goes with the pentagon!
