  • Vandalism/theft

Just reading an old post from someone who was giving up their plot because of poor security and theft, just wandered if other grapes had had this sort of problem and if it was solved.

I read recently about a site in Bristol which has banned it's plotholders from locking council owned sheds - to prevent them being damaged when they are broken into.

i dont have a lock on mine for exactly the same reason, they could do more damage breaking in to the shed than the value of whatver they nick...also i think it suggests you have something valuable like power tools rather than spades etc., if you lock it.

I lock my chicken coop, I lock the totally enclosed chicken run but I DON'T lock any of my three greenhouses or two huts.

PS Don't let on..........but my good stainless steel tools are well hidden in my chicken coop!

After pesistant thefts and chickens being necked just for sport, me and me old man hid and waited for them. Supprisingly we didnt have to wait long it was still light. After a little education there have been no problems since. They were necking me chicks so I necked a Chav!!!
