You could sow some seed, they will grow but the flowers will be late. You may be able to buy some plants to put in - try your local market.

i got some half price in homebase they are quite big and have doubled in size in a week, i only decided i wanted some after i'd seen some on the lottie and it was too late to plant seeds

Hi - I actually don't think it's too late. I poke in sweet peas seeds all over the place until the end of May - did last year and they were fine. If the sun keeps up the good work then they'll fire away no problem! I'm growing a sweet pea tower and only planted that a week ago. You could also try Sugar and Spice - a hanging basket variety that grew quickly for me but not quite as stunning bloom-wise. "Miss Wilmot" is my fave this year and good old Matacuna!
