Thank goodness for that. House prices would have suffered if the green space keeps being developed Seriously though it is an argument to use as no one is allowed to argue against house prices appararently.

My site would be worth tens of millions if the council tried to sell it. Great for security being surrounded by 8 figure prices houses on 3 sides. It's a subject we all need to keep our beady eyes on, selling allotments.

Having had to battle against Eric 'I like' Pickles myself regarding allotment sell offs when he was leader of Bradford Council, I'm glad to see that he still doesn't have a clue

              Great result !!!

Our allotments have been on the go for over a 100 years - privately owned, and have been in the hands of a London based guy/group for the last few years.

I've only been there for the last 5 years, however there are continual threats to sell the land.

Our rents doubled a couple of years ago to try and appease them - but we still have it hanging over us (East Riding of Yorkshire Council actually included the site in their "long-term vision" for an area of future housing development).
.......because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)
