Hi all, I need to get a new shed for my allotment as the current one rotting and falling apart. I'm only allowed a smallish one so I'm looking at 6x4 - don't want to spend a lot of money but wanted to get a new one so could have it delivered to the site. Any advice of good smallish wooden sheds, pref with a window and I'm thinking a pent style roof so easier to harvest the rain water? Any advice appreciated very new to all this!

How urban are you?
I'n wondering because if you are near a built up area , a new shed would be a target to break-ins.
On our last site it was only the new ones which were broken in to.
A reasonable second hand one would save you money to pay someone to dismantle and deliver it for you...and put some money into someone else's pocket at the same time at this expensive time of year

Depending how much of a DIY person you are how about making a shed out of pallets? Less likely of getting broken into as well.sigpicComment

Thanks for the advice all- I'm in NW london but actually don't think break ins are a problem as the allotments are in the middle of a housing estate so overlooked by many flats- certainly the shed I have there since I took over the plot in July has never been broken into and I'm not aware of any other breakins. I've been considering a second hand one but after paying for dismantling and moving in not sure would be a lot cheaper- im 5 months pregnant so limited in what I can do so looking the an easy option!Comment

I'm pants at DIY and my OH prefers to ride his bike on his days off. So I sourced a local shed maker, took all the hassle out of it, though was a bit pricier than a DIY store bought one as I had to pay for it to be built on site as well. I presume you wouldn't be putting it together when you have it delivered either?
