    Reduced Compost Bins etc

    I found this website via my council's website. Depending on where you live and if your council offer discounts, you can get cheaper compost bins and wormeries, etc.

    Give it a try, you might save some money

      Ordered mine through our council over 3 weeks ago. The council passes you on to their supplier. They say allow 28 days. I have now telephoned twice. The first time was Monday before last and I was assured that they were on the van for delivery. Good, I thought, sometime today then. She then added "so that will be with you by 5pm Friday at the latest"!!!! Come Friday, no bins. Telephoned again on Tuesday (having allowed for the snow I thought) only to be told that as the drivers ran out of time on the Friday they took them back to the depot and they should be with me sometime this week but they allow the drivers a week to deliver so it might not be until 5pm this Friday!!! I go away shortly and the one thing I didn't want was to leave 2 dirty great compost bins on full show in the front garden. Ah well, rant over. All good things come to those who wait - don't they?

        Telephoned the supplier who assured me that the bins were on their way. How's this for service. Twenty minutes later they were on the doorstep. Pure coincidence of course but I could have saved myself the phone call if I hadn't been so impatient!!

          Great news. I haven't bought a compost bin online. I got mine from a friend who no longer wanted it. They are great, but also made a pallet one for keeping horse manure in.
