Well can you believe it? I've just weedkiller-ed loads of this plant on my allotment only to find its edible. I have no idea where it came from - it wasn't there last year I'm wondering if its used as a green manure as a neighbour said he might put some on my plot but I've not seen him since.

Yes it's a Dead Nettle I leave them in my "wildlife friendly" areas, they're nice and early flowering so are great for early Bees etc. You can get them with yellow flowers too though I think it's a more cultivated one.
