  • Polytunnel Advice

    Hi All,

    I am thinking of getting a polytunnel on the plot and I am unsure which to get out the below two;

    Polytunnel Galvanised Frame 6m x 3m Greenhouse Pollytunnel Poly Tunnel 6 Section | eBay

    6 x 3m Polytunnel Greenhouse Poly Tunnel Pollytunnel Galvanised Frame | eBay

    Has anyone had either of these, and can you give me any advise please?

    Thank you for the help

    Have a look on this thread, a few people have made their own. Maybe you could consider that to save some money

      Thanks pandasyard, was hoping to buy one, purely for the six being 6m x 3m.

      If I tried to make on myself that big, I am sure the materials would cost more than the £110 one of these polytunnels would cost

        I bought one a couple of years ago but it was only 19mm tube. So if I had a choice, I would go for the 2nd one, although they both have 25mm tubes, I quite like the gutter effect on the second one.

          One of mine is like the first one and I'm very happy with it, but I'm looking at getting one like the second as well. Having a proper door is definitely worth the extra money. Door zips going is usually the first problem to occur with the first ones.

            I agree with the zips issue - I'd avoid those if you can.

            Best of luck

              Thanks for the replies

              If I get the poly tunnel without the door, I was planning on creating a door by fixing I guess two pieces of 2x1 down the centre, wrapping the poly tunnel securely around them and hinging a door on the 2x1. If I took this option the door I guess could be half covered in netting to aid ventilation if needed. A bit like attachment
