I have just taken on a half plot to add to my existing plot and im trying to id this bush ,im guessing fruit ? any ideas ?

May be blackcurrant. Rub the leaves. Do they smell of blackcurrants? -
That looks like jostaberry to me. But I would wait till someone anyone else tells you the right answer.Comment

I think jostaberry is right after a good google ,but there are mixed reviews on them.
Ill have to decide if it is worth the space it is taking up

I will keep it for this year and like you said try the berries ,im assuming they are good by what you said ?
I have read that they need to be netted / caged to keep any of the crop ,do you find this ?

I don't net blackcurrants or jostaberries - the birds prefer the raspberries!
They're like slightly larger blackcurrants with a hint of gooseberry. The bushes get huge - if yours is too big it may need a bit of thinning out of the old wood.Comment
