  • My new allotment.

Had the choice of two and was strongly persuaded to the other one for some reason but I chose this one due to location etc. it has a little shed, a greenhouse which needs a little repair and a little bench. There is also what looks like a pear tree. The water is at the end of my plot too.

Site manager says not worked for years but I disagree. It's not that bad. Hope I made the right decision!

We have all been there, the weeds like it and thats not a bad sign. It will only be what you make it Katinkia.

The people on here have a wealth of knowledge and you will also find that no questions are seen as silly.

Looks brilliant, take monthly pics to look back on & imagine all that home made compost next year.

          Hi good luck

However dont get daunted my plot was pretty much like yours........Its funny that the allotments that do come available are over grown and i do understand why this does happen in some cases.

I hav ehad my patch now for two years and i have got a routine where every time i go twenty minutes weeding and even if its only 10 spade fulls you are progressing.

I t is amazing how much you do get through, owever this does dpend on your free time, i work full time and depend on evenings and th e weekend but dont underestimate how much you can achieve in a short space of time if you have a plan to do list

Happy gardening and yes please send us you r updates on the photo scene

          Cheers

Chris makes a good point............little & often is the way to go, don't try & do too much at once. Most of all enjoy it.

I agree with your reasons for choosing your plot, yes you have weeds, but I can't see any horsetail in your photos so that is a positive.
