  • Hollow carrots

A number of carrots in my allotment have been completely hollowed out by an unidentified pest. Nothing is left except a very thin outer skin.

Anyone got ideas of what could be responsible?

    Thanks,

    Ian

Slugs? They do that kind of thing.

Slugs did the same with a fair few of my potatoes

Last year I had 2 hollow cabages - slugs. I found that they had not only munched all of the cabbage hearts except for a thin outer edge but had been having rumpy pumpy and leaving tiny baby slugs behing.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison
