I'm using several types of green manure on the allotment (buckwheat, vetches, clover, field beans and so on). On the field beans packet, it says that they "fit in with beans in crop rotation".
Now, I'm not sure if this means you use it in the season after you've grown beans in the plot, or instead of growing beans in the rotation.
Common sense makes me assume the latter (so plant it in a plot that's had roots in it, and follow that with brassicas)
Can anyone set me right on this?
