    Bad news!!!
They are taking our allotments away. Something to do with the cemetery not wanting the land and the council wanting to build

    Good news
I'm getting a bigger one in Apri and i still have access to my old one till March 2009.

Current one 6 rods new one 10 rods..... More work but better location.

once more unto the breach dear friend etc etc

Congratulations Number 1 suspect (we're all mates here, can I call you no 1?) You are the first person I've ever met who has actually been given another lottie when their old ones were stolen for development. Who are this enlightened council? Hope you enjoy your new plot and good luck with it.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Bluemoon and all. thanks for the replies.
Bluemoon you may cal me wahtever you like. The only things i dont answer to are "stop thief" and " there he is, get him" :-)

Gravesend in Kent are the ones. Not many other plots free so its first come first served as usual. There are a few people who are going to fight it but as I'm sure most of us know, its a forgone conclusion that the council will get its own way in the end so all i'm doing is avoiding the rush. We still have this year to go though as the contract is not up till April 2009

The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.
