Default Allotment Shops

Hi

I would be grateful to know whether any allotment shops in Coventry and the surrounding area sell seed potatoes individually and whether they allow associate members to join even if they do not live within that area.

That sounds fab, JM - thanks for letting us know.

Hirons in Perry Barr, north Birmingham also sell seeds pots, shallots and onions loose, but don't seem to have a very big range of varieties.

Default Seed Pots..

Jacob, do you know the name of the shop, i would like to find it on yell.com.

Also pukka.tukka, do you know the Organic Gardens at Ryton ... http://www.gardenorganic.org.uk/index.php

Well.... on Sat 2nd (members day) and Sun 3rd (public day) of Feb 2008 they have a potato day, you can buy individual seed potatoes at about 16p each, they usually have over 100 varieties, many organic available.

To be fair, you are not likely to get lost around Nuneaton.

Not sure whether the chance of bumping in to NTG is an incentive to go there or a cautionary tale...?

Hi

I went to Halwyn Nurseries last week and got my seed pototoes.

I met a very helpful man who advised me I could buy as many as I liked and did not need to buy 3kg, which I thought I did. Thank you

I could not beleive the amount of different varieties and would recomend a visit.
