Hi Angie, you haven't said what your plot is like. If its reasonably ok, then take a look in seed catalogues. Some have varieties of veg that can go in now for a early next year harvest. Then you have Cabbages, Onions, Garlic etc, that will grow through the winter. Garlic needs a cold spell to divide the bulb. If your plot needs attention, then your pobably looking at preperation for next year.

hi angie ive only had my plot for 4 weeks and it was well over grown if you look on the new shoots forum go to newbie seeking help you can see wha my plot was like
ive strimmed some and did most with a hand sickle cos the strimmer was goosed it was fun on a hot day
if you want to use some weed killer round up is best
and get digging with your spade
and have fun
