| I need your help folks!!!! My OH has just ordered a tractor scoop load of cow manure for tomorrow morning - without seeing it 1st ![]() I think it will be about the same amount as half a trailer load which we have bought in the UK (£20) The problem is that the farmer was quite surprised we had asked for some as he'd never been asked before!! I'm now wondering if it's going to be fresh slurry rather than 1yr rotted muck ![]() My problem is...he has no idea what to charge....and I've no idea what would be a fair price- esp until we see it!! What would you suggest would be a fair deal??? Also those of you who live in France.....what do you do for muck?????? I could do with knowing before he turns up in the early hours of the morning peeps!!!! |

| Un fumier is a dung heap or generically dung. (always amusing as English quite often use it when asking for a light...as-tu un fumier? rather than avez vous de feu) You might also say Terrain tres bien fume(acute on e) meaning land well manured (as opposed to smoked where the word probably derives...fumer to smoke as a dung heap appears to)

| Hey Nicos what happened here then? How much manure did you get and how much did it cost you? You can't just stop in the middle of a tale you know! ![]()
