Default WEED - What is it?

Hi

Finding quite a few of these weeds within a cluster. Any ideas as to name/remedy?

Plot neighbour suggested "sow-grass" or "sow-weed" or something sounding like that.

See attached image.

Don't know what it is, but what ever it is, its on a rhizome or a runner that sends up more of them. You will have to get this weed out and the root.

Try here: http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk/weeds.htm

I always go for burning them out.
