Better than a CD on string or wire (that gets tangled by the wind) is to use an old VHS video cassette, break it open and take out the tape, then tie strips of it to anything you wish to keep the birds off! It is metallic tape, so reflects light to scare the birds as it moves in the breeze, and also makes a noise as it flutters, ideal for scaring pigeons off, plus you can use lots of it! We've used it on all our pea and bean supports, plus on the fedge with the rasps and which is next to the strawb bed! So far so good! |
