Default recommendation

I have finished reading Life on a hillside allotment .. He is the Chap from Radio 2. Interestingly I knew him from the Big Dig, which is now repeated at various time on UKtvGardens.

It about 90% about him and his life and 10% about what he do'es on his allotment, if you where a fan of the big dig as i am, then you may find this book very interesting as it has more depth about the other people who allotment around him.

Another book I have just finished is A year in Christines Garden, by Christine Walkden. I Wish I had waited until it was available from the library and not paid for it.

It starts of with her all emotional and wound up after being told they want to film her and appears to decend into many endless dash's from one job to another and endless comments on how old her dog is and wont be around for much longer.

Again if you have watched the series you might find it interesting when she go'es into more detail about place's they film her at, the book also in ties up a few loose ends that the TV series leaves.

An ok read.

(she also mentions in the book about the abusive comments she read about herself on the BBC Gardening website)
