Partner-in-Grime Jane's cousins husband is from India and his parents own a farm (somewhere I can't remember near the coast) and he was explaining to me a couple of weeks ago about the differences between the tools they use on the farm, and the ones that we use - fascinating, I must say.
I will bear this in hoe in mind - being new to this lot, my tool stock consists of 1 spade, 1 fork and a D shaped hoe - and doing a bit of hoeing this weekend, what with the weeds waking up, I am aware of its shortcomings. I was musing at the Hill as I was working about what would be better so your post is particularly timely for me! At £17 it'll have to wait till sale/birthday/minor lottery win, though... |
