We'd been out for the evening & stopped the car in a quiet, dark, country lane on the way home & got out & watched the eclipse. We could hear a pheasant calling in the field & see 'Orion' & the 'Plough' & other vaguely familiar stars in the clear sky & saw the moon change to what looked like a large soft orangey-pink ball, it really was surreal & lovely!
