Went to Ryton today and got 2 tubers each of 6 types of spud for my son to grow as I've already placed my main order (just waiting for them to arrive). My son chose one variety called Shetland Black which I've never heard of and forgot to ask whether its an early/main variety does anyone know?

Also came away with sweetcorn seeds for popping, blue sweetcorn and some Thai Dragon Chilli seeds from the seed swop also a small hoe for my onions for £2.50, some cabbage collars and 50 red baron onion sets which cost pence as they are priced per kilo.
