Most of the old apple orchards families had years ago are gone. I see quite a lot of new trees though which is encouraging. Fruit trees in this area seem to do better on the lower and more sheltered levels. My 'success' to date has been limited to one or two very small fruits (if I'm lucky!) but my (lower) neighbours are having great success.
