Just spent two weeks in Spain with temperatures around 30 degrees. Came home on Tuesday (18th) at 13.00 and the garden looked fantastic, flowers, etc. By 1400 the wind had got up and everything was laid flat!

It was the Equinox Gale. Apparently Force 11 (Violent Storm 56-65 knots) at times during the night. The garden is now decimated, but at least I saw it for an hour.

Today we woke to absolute calm and rain. Still around 16 degrees during the day and only dropping to 11/12 degrees at night. Getting dark around 1900.
