I make my own Fat Balls from suet, chopped nuts, desiccated coconut (all from supermarket), and bird seed (Poundshop).

Melt suet in microwave, add nuts & stuff, pour into a plastic mould (eg. Xmas Pud bowl) with a string in the middle (to hang from tree) and freeze. Freezing allows you to get the fat ball out of the mould.
