I can beat that Lizzy, I get free entry every year

Asparagus is reasonably easy but it needs a couple of years to establish & bulk up before you get a crop of it. It also needs loads of either compost or Muck in the winter & like to be kept moist in the spring (the muck & compost will help) but not waterlogged.

It's a short cropping season as well (around a month ish) so I'd get a couple of crowns & maybe some different varieties to try & extend the season.
