now we won't eat leeks / spring cabbage / rye - so what else could i put in?? or should i just cover the ground till next year? i don't want or have time to grow stuff i just won't use

and if i'm not doing a second sowing of spuds in the same bed, i'm going to have unused ground and nowhere to plant my very late spuds until the sprouts and caulis are done???

and isn't cabbage a brassica?
