While on a weekend visit (doing interviews in Dublin to get a job and leave a postgrad in UK), OH came to see me in student accom and asked for a hard hat (cos he walloped his head off the wall). I think the bang did something to him, cos about half an hour later, there was a 7 year plan made - involving getting me a postgrad (hah! just finished it a month ago on a totally different subject!!) and a couple of years working before we got married. We just shortened that by a few years in the end...one of those things that felt inevitable from within 8 days of meeting (met 2 days before Christmas and by our second meeting on New Year's Eve there was no going back).

Like MrsD, I really couldn't imagine life without OH. The welcome in our wedding booklets was "This day I will marry my best friend - the one I laugh with, live for and love". Which we both truly truly meant and still do.
