Not sure what your bugs are from the description, but I would say the best thing to do is to just gently rub them off (with a pair of marigolds on if you're a bit squeemish ). Or get a sprayer bottle & squirt them off - most bugs don't like getting squished, or soaked
Have a look round the garden & see if you can find a ladybird & relocate it to where dinner is
