Rhubarb is one of those vegetables that will grow pretty much anywhere, so long as the soil has plenty of organic matter in it, and the selected site is not constantly battered by high winds.
However, a spot in full sun can cause the plant to run to seed quite quickly so if you have a semi shady corner then rhibarb is the ideal way to utilise it.
