We have a Brown Turkey fig and as soon as we got it, we dug a hole, lined it with paving slabs and then put it in a bucket and put it in a hole. Figs are rampant and will grow very, very quickly unless restrained. Brown Turkey are hardy to our climate according to the blurb. A large fig tree down the road in the garden had loads of figs on it. Lots of places suggest putting several inches of hardcore in the hole before planting the fig to keep it under control. |
