I've got half a dozen of the large daleks and they're always full. I never turn anything and they are in the shade. Apart from the top 25%, the rest of the compost is crumbly and brown. I put all my garden waste as well as all my kitchen veg peelings. Every spring I empty them out, put the unrotted bits back in one of them and let the copious red worms do their stuff. All this turning is a waste of time, completely unnecessary. You'll still get the good stuff with no effort!
