Hi J R Hilton - I'm in East Yorks too. I'm still ferrying mine in and out - had a sharp frost the night before last. I bought a set of inexpensive plastic trays last year so I can sit lots of pots on (when they get in pots too big for the 'dozen pot holder' type of thing). I worked out this morning that I take 7 journeys morning and night to my greenhouse at the end of my 100ft garden - that's 1400 ft in old money! Still, the gym costs more! There's a lot of residual heat in the dining room overnight which I'm already paying for. There's far more light in the cold greenhouse than I can get at any window in the house. So - it's a lifestyle choice - do you heat your greenhouse or do you use the surplus heat from home? I'm not taking any risks though. I knew these plants when they had nowt!
