Some people have commented that the maps aren't that up to date (which is true), just thought I'd make another suggestion that was all.
If you want truly up to date maps, have a look here:
Flash Earth ...satellite and aerial imagery of the Earth in Flash Look at the NASA ones - can't zoom in very far, and you need good weather to see anything at all.
I wasn't suggesting that any map site was the ideal solution, it was just an idea that needs some refining and an expert touch, maybe to be a feature of the forum as marialittlebzz suggested.
Bit of fun though either way.
