Hi Veg4681,

I think it is better that they like the leaves of your butternut squashes in comparison with those slugs in my garden, they loves the young squashes, some of the squashes has reach the size of a tennis ball or even bigger, and they still went for it, eat a bit of it and dig a hole in and in the end the squash rot.
