Try stuffed Marrow Stuffed marrow is absolutely gorgeous.
Pre-heat the oven to 180C.
Halve the marrow along the length and scoop out the seeds
Make up a shepards pie mix but have it thicker than normal, (mince, onions, carrots, gravy and worcester sauce) allow to cool.
Fit the marrow on oiled foil enough to wrap the marrow as a whole.
Spoon the mince mix into one half of the marrow and pile slightly and then place the othe half on top and wrap with the remaining foil so none of the juice can escape.
Pierce with a skewer after about 40 mins if it goes through easily its ready if not leave for a further ten minutes and check again, repeat until cooked.
I find that this is enough on its own as it is very filling, its a family favourite and many have used it outside of my family too! Enjoy. |
