I have a Phillips one where you freeze the bowl. You churn the mixture until it is smooth - it starts out quite 'grainy' and gets smoother. I think mine has to run nearly a half-hour to reach that stage but I cannot find the instruction book to check and I haven't used it for a while.
I do remember that the bowl has to be in the freezer for a good 48 hours before it is cold enough to make good ice cream - and the machine must be running when you put the ingredients in the bowl. |
